Oreo could hear the high-pitched chirruping of the coatis long before he reached Bertie and Mabel’s home. Oreo and Bertie were old friends, and Oreo was sure that Bertie would jump at the chance to help out his favourite raccoon. Now, if only he could get him to stay still long enough to listen to him…
As he’d expected, Oreo found Bertie and Mabel doing what coatis do best. They were jumping and bounding around their enclosure at dizzying speeds, racing up trees and spinning around branches, performing acrobatics that a raccoon could never dream of attempting. Oreo felt tired just watching them.
He knocked on the wall of the enclosure. “Hey, Bert! Do you guys have your breakfast yet? I can’t find mine, and I can already feel myself losing weight.”
Bertie continued his gymnastics as he replied, and his voice sounded like it was coming from every direction at once. “Morning, buddy! No, we don’t have ours yet. Anyway, it’s not breakfast time – it’s play time!”
Oreo rolled his eyes. “You coatis think it’s play time all the time. This is a perfectly reasonable time for breakfast.”
“Sorry, Oreo! We’re having far too much fun to be thinking about breakfast yet!”
Oreo tutted and marched off. Some help they were! In Oreo’s opinion, coati’s had far too much energy. He much preferred lounging around in his hammock all day. Oh well, he’d just have to keep looking!

But where should Oreo look next?
